This tour includes the most popular tourist activities of Chiang Mai! After a visit to an orchid farm, one of the country's symbols, you will visit a touristic village with various minorities including the famous “Long Neck Women” (women of the Karen tribe from Burma). Followed by a short hike through the jungle with a meal at the foot of a waterfall. In the afternoon, you will raft down a river. Then the highlight of the day: meeting elephants in a small family camp in the jungle. You will feed them, learn more about their way of life, walk to a water point where you can bathe with them. Then, you will become aware that pachyderms are some of the most social animals. Back to Chiang Mai in the late afternoon after a very busy day.
Departure at 8 am and return around 6 pm. Walking time: about 30 minutes. Ideally, you should bring sneakers or walking shoes, insecticide, bathing suit and towel, as well as spare clothing
Warning: the meeting of “Long Neck Women” in this touristic village is not an activity we recommend; many western tourists come back disappointed.
