The city’s sightseeing points can be reached quickly, ideally by bike. Motorbikes will get you even farther. Both means of transportation can be rented directly at the reception desk. Chiang Mai is also an excellent starting point for trekking tours to the Northern boarders (the Golden Triangle with its borders to Laos and Myanmar [Burma]).
